As the temperature dropped today -- It reminded me what a gorgeous day we had Sunday in week 4. Many thanks goes out to the coaches, players, fans and family who came out to the fields to support these players. Thanks for all you do!
Now -- Some housekeeping.
Week 4 results are included in the standings. There were a few leagues that still had outstanding forfeits and those wins and losses have been handed out (5-0 wins and losses). All teams should have exactly eight games played at this point. With everyone having eight games you'll get 2 points for every win and 1 point for every tie. For teams tied in points runs allowed will be the first tie breaker and then a coin flip.
Check for Accuracy
As the playoffs approach -- the standings will be used for seeding. We will be finalizing the standings as seen on the website on Friday Sept 24th. Please check the standings for accuracy and reach out to us if you see an error. After Friday there will be no more edits.
Unfortunately -- we are all still being impacted by Covid and RYFSA is no exception. We will be putting together a list of our Covid policies sometime this week as the season progresses and we get more information. Please check back prior to the games on Sunday.
We would like to apologize for the wrong mound distance at Eastwood this week. We understand the 10U teams out there had a tough time pitching further back and sometimes from a line in the sand. We will double and triple check each of the remaining weeks. Please have someone reach out to us if you think any field is not set up correctly or if you need help while at the complex.
Playoffs! We talking about Playoffs?
(Jim Mora, Playoffs?)
We have already started and nearly completed all the brackets for next week. There will be no scheduling accommodations. If a team is unable to make it their opponent will get a bye to the next round. Each league will have multiple tiers and play a single-elimination tournament. Each tier winner will be given an award.
Have fun and be safe.
